What does a good scrub set cost in Kenya?

Most full scrub sets at Scrubs Kenya cost between KES 2,500 and KES 4,000. Branded sets such as Cherokee Infinity sit at the top of that range.

Single scrub tops start lower, so you can mix a new top with pants you already own.

Why do scrub prices differ so much?

Fabric is the biggest reason. Stretch fabrics move with you on a long shift and cost more than plain cotton blends.

Brand is the second reason. Known brands like Cherokee and Landau keep their shape and colour for longer.

Extras add a little more. Name embroidery at Scrubs Kenya starts at KES 250.

How to get the best value

Buy two or three sets so each one lasts longer between washes.

Pick one neutral colour your hospital accepts, then add a print top for days you want some colour.

Ordering for your whole ward or clinic? Message Scrubs Kenya on WhatsApp with the number of sets and sizes for a quote.

New scrubs, mtumba or EPZ: which is better value?

Mtumba scrubs cost less on day one. But the fabric has already been washed many times, sizes are random and colours are often faded.

EPZ and marketplace scrubs on Jumia or Jiji can be cheap too. Check the fabric and the seller's return policy before you pay.

New scrubs from Scrubs Kenya cost more upfront. You choose your exact size and colour. They also last many more washes.

Dr Joanne Medina

Founder, Scrubs Kenya

Ever been told there are no surgical caps left on a busy ward? Dr Joanne Medina was, as a final year medical student. So she started making her own.

That small fix grew into Scrubs Kenya. Today Scrubs Kenya dresses nurses, doctors, clinical officers and students across Kenya.

Dr Joanne is a medical doctor who trained at Egerton University. She grew up in Kitale and now lives and works in Nairobi. She knows how a twelve hour shift feels, so every Scrubs Kenya set is chosen for comfort, pockets and fabric that lasts.

She also hosts the Medina Dinner, a networking evening for healthcare professionals, and interviews leaders in Kenyan healthcare on her YouTube channel.
